We live in such a downward spiralling world. Watching crime watch is a reality that we do not want to face, but it is easy to think it will never happen to me. One women on a night out was raped by two different men. Who gives them the right!
But what was worse was I was told of some domestic violence cases which made me sick. Poor women that are forced to live in fear of men that have no backbone or self worth. The worrying thing I know men / friends who use intimidation with their partners. They might not punch but their words are just as damaging. .
I have been blessed with two girls and the thought if some man instead of speaking tries to use his fist gets my blood boiling. I pray I never have to deal with that situation.
But I want to raise a point, if you watch porn this is a form of abuse. Please don't tell me that women being degraded by a man for money is what this poor girl dreamed of when growing up. The truth a high proportion of porn stars have been abused and end up thinking this is what they are meat for man entertainment.
What am I trying to say. Men please step up, take responsibility, we all play a part in how society treats women including our mothers, sisters and daughters. Ask yourself am I apart if the problem or the solution to female abuse.

Sacrifice
Romans 12:1
[ A Living Sacrifice ] Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship
Recently I wrote on my blog about excuses. But God also be showing me that if I want to be a success in anything it will take sacrifice.
Recently I have been moaning that I have way to much on. The truth is I want the glory without the sacrifice.
I want to watch movies every night, have every night free to meet with friends, to have Sundays to wash the cars, Saturdays free to play basketball and golf all day. I want the time to spend two hours reading my books and the list goes on.
I bet any one reading this feels the same. The reality I can do all this but that would mean sacrificing my dreams that take time and effort to achieve which means something has to go.
At the moment if you ask my wife I sleep around 5-6 hours a day, WHY? Because life is just that hectic that the only way to complete my tasks and achieve what I want to achieve is being strict with my sleep.
I love more time with friends on the weekend but the reality is I try to give my girls the weekend as I don't seem them much in the week. I what to have a great relationship with my girls and if I don't give them the time that never going to happen, and they are worth the sacrifice.
You heard the saying "have your cake and eat it". The truth is as God told his follows, to follow him would be living a sacrificial life. For me to achieve the real passions I must sacrifice the life of comfort and ease.
BUT in the end I will receive more in my life than anything I ever sacrificed in the first place. I try to see the long term picture and keep focused on the goals and that ensures that the short term losses never compare to the long term gains
Question what are you going to have to give up to get to your dreams. NOTHING COMES WITHOUT SACRIFICE.
I live you with this. God had to watch his son on the cross so we could get eternal life (What a sacrifice) If even God had to sacrifice to gain who are we to think life will fall into our laps.

Excuses / Excuses / Excuses
Why have I not achieved the goals that I have set or desire "Well" (excuses, excuses and more excuses ) I today had alot of things that I needed to get done and my excuse for putting them of was that I have alot of things going on especially the passing of my step dad.
I know alot of people would agree and say that Denzil you are being to hard on yourself but the truth is even before my father passing I had been putting the same things off, with EXCUSES, EXCUSES. The previous excuse was a lack of money funding etc.
Before that it was time. "I am far to busy". EXCUSES, EXCUSES, EXCUSES.
I read in Napoleon Hill book 'think and grow rich'. Once we have made up a excuse not to do something, it becomes water tight that even if reality came and slap you in the face you would not listen and pay attention.
What ever plans you have go ahead and do it. NO EXCUSES. I'm trying it and state Gen Hope will have its first conference next year Jan 2012 .

Hearing God Voice
If you read the bible you will see circumstances where God speaks directly with every day people. He spoke with Adam and even walked with him in the cool of the day.
He spoke with Moses and Abraham directly, in the new testament we have Jesus speaking with man. As Jesus is God in human form, we once again see God speaking with man directly.
The question is does God speak to us in the 21st century. I meet and speak with lost of people of the faith that struggle and state that they wish God would speak to them. Or they have begun to believe that God only speaks to the elect (Question who are they TV EVANGELIST, PASTOR WITH PURPLE ROPES?)
The truth is God speaks to those that want to listen. I am not special, I continually fall short of the mark of living to the standard which God has called me. In spite of my failing he still speaks with me personally.
Example today he told me to call a friend and told me to stay "heavy shoulders". Once I began speaking with my friend he began to open up about the issues he is facing. He also spoke to me about blessing a certain individual with a specific blessing.
I could give lots of examples, but some might say how do you know it God?
Good question, my answer would be many of the things he asked me to do are things I don't want to do. It only through obedience to what he is saying to me that I complete the tasks. Also the more I get to know God through the bible and pray, I know more about his personality. So when he speaks I know he voice.
(No different than my girls knowing my voice because they are around me.
Why share this today? The truth is one you have God on your side you cannot lose and hearing his voice helps to make wise choices and decisions. Try it for yourself.

Hope
This week was the passing of my father. It was the first time someone really close to me had passed away that really made me reflect.
Previously I have had family member's that had passed away but because my relationship with them was not that strong it did not move me emotionally compared to the passing of my step dad.
He was a truly amazing man that went out of his way to help those around him. He brought some much happiness to my mum that his passing was a real blow to the whole family.
I remember seeing him in the hospital and the spirit had left his body it was no longer Colin I saw but a shell. It was then that I realised that Colin was gone and to a better place. It was the knowledge and comfort knowing that he had moved onto paradise is where I got my comfort. The comfort was in HOPE. The HOPE in God word that we will live for ever but not in this world but a world void of sin and death.
I read a scripture which really brings home the HOPE that I describe
1 Thessalonians 4
13Now also we would not have you ignorant, brethren, about those who fall asleep [[g]in death], that you may not grieve [for them] as the rest do who have no hope [beyond the grave].
14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him through Jesus those who have fallen asleep [[h]in death].
15For this we declare to you by the Lord's [own] word, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall in no way precede [into His presence] or have any advantage at all over those who have previously fallen asleep [in Him [i]in death].
16For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud cry of summons, with the shout of an archangel, and with the blast of the trumpet of God. And those who have departed this life in Christ will rise first.
17Then we, the living ones who remain [on the earth], shall simultaneously be caught up along with [the resurrected dead] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air; and so always (through the eternity of the eternities) we shall be with the Lord!
18Therefore comfort and encourage one another with these words.
These words have brought me and my mother great comfort that one day we will meant with Colin again. As I thought this I wondered for those that do not believe what HOPE do they have? Money, Fame, Power, Botox or the power of the Secret.
The the above mentioned have all failed people who have used these sources of hope, but the making God your hope I can testify he will never fail you EVER. He in any circumstance allow you to have HOPE for a better day.

Friendship
I spoke to a young women today who on facebook has so many friends but advised that she felt lonely and her worlds "I feel as if I have no friends". This is not a new statement to me but this has been told a few times before.
The truth is if more people where honest they would also confess to the fact that they also are struggling with the same problem. There is a famous song by the Kings of Leon the words say it all
I've been roaming around, I was looking down at all I see
Painted faces fill the places I can't reach

Friendship take more effort than just sending out a friend request, you must put in the effort. It takes time to see a relationship (Friendship) grow. Without the investment you will not reap the rewards of a successful relationship and in the end you will be left with like many with 100's of Facebook friends but still in need of somebody to LOVE.

Charity
I was blown away today that even in these times the charity of so many people is still alive and kicking.
The word charity in the bible also means love.
Recently God has been challenging me about how much do I love people. The only way to gauge this is not by the words that I speak but by the actions that I take. I regularly pray for people (Family, poor, abused and friends) But then God would ask me what are you doing for them.
There is a verse in the bible that states, "I was naked and you clothed me, I was hungry and you feed me" and a person replies "when did I clothe you", God responds "when you feed one of my little ones you clothed me".
I am not here to tell you what I do because I think these things are to be done in secret, what I will say is that message moved me to be more active.
Going back to today I saw presents piled sky high for children in the Midlands that will not be getting any presents this Christmas. The church had over 400 requests to help children that are in need this year and the church will be able to provide. We as a church are meant to be a light to the world in our charity (LOVE) and show that God is a provider to the needs of the community even in a economic downturn.
For those that believe we all have a responsibility to pass on God love in a tangible way.

Success begin where your at
I have always been a dreamer from a early age. Now in my thirties I have not stopped dreaming if any thing I dream even more than before.
It is OK to have dream but they can also be a hindrance because if you spend to much time in the cloud you never do any thing in reality. There is a saying in the church "to heavenly minded no earthly good"
Why am I sharing this? Because God over the last few weeks has really challenged me that my dreams begin today. What this meant to me was even though I have a dream for GenHope to reach thousands of people and change lives, I need to focus on changing one person life now. I realise to reach my dream I must begin living my dream now
If you dream of Financial freedom, you must learn NOW how to invest. If you want to be a CEO you must first learn to manage yourself NOW.
Dreams do come true but you must live them NOW. What you do today will determine your tomorrow.
I realise that God has blessed me with some great people to encourage, educate, motivate and love, how I deal with them will determine how great Gen Hope will be. If I cannot do it now I will not do it when 1000's require help.

TIME TO TAKE ACTION
I at a point in my life that I have realised that it is so easy to say tomorrow I will fulfil my dreams, tomorrow I will take on the world, tomorrow I WILL. Then you realise that tomorrow never comes.
In my early thirties I have achieve moderate personal success but I know that I could have achieved so much more than what I have achieved to date.
Question I must ask is why have I not achieved my potential as of yet?
I could give a thousand excuses but that is all that they would be EXCUSES. If I am honest it is because of the following factors
LAZINESS: I never be know as a lazy person. But I have been busy in the wrong area and laziness in the areas I should be busy. Sounds crazy but reflect and ask yourself have I been busy? Most people I know have been busy! Now ask your self have you been busy doing the things you know you should be doing. UMMMMMMMM. This is when I must drop of the things that are sapping my time and become busy in building my life.
FEAR: It stops us all. Inside of me there is one side that is as brave a warrior and a other side that is as fearful as a mouse. The question is which one speaks the loudest and make themselves known the most. (I heard a great statement on the radio that a old man had two wolves living inside of him, one wolf was selfishness and the other was the wolf of love. The old man stated that only one can live in a person so the other one must die. A child ask the old man how do you know which one will live the old man replied the one that survives is the one that you FEED) I must continue to feed my warrior spirit (More than a conquer) I must build on my faith and my faith will produce works the bible states.
These two things are the reason I am lagging be hide where i should be. But I know my weakness and now it is time to destroy them.

Daily humility
Me and my best friend have a challenge we have taken from the bible to confess our faults to one another daily.
This might seem quite negative but in truth it is very positive for the following reasons. You become conscious of your faults and you are are aware far quicker of the things that you have done wrong and need to change.
Secondly by confessing daily it stops things snowballing. This way you can catch it early enough before it becomes a problems with major consequences.
Thirdly it keeps you humble. Speaking about your weaknesses stops you from believing your own hype and thinking that we are better than others. Confession lets you realise that I am only human like every one else and be hide the stuff we are the same. All of us have strengths and all of us have weaknesses.
Fourthly it stops the habit of have skeletons in the closet. Speaking daily allows you to shine light of your areas of darkness. This stops also living a life of guilt and secrets.
The greatest thing is understanding that our weaknesses if we are honest about them can become our strengths for the above reasons.
My encouragement to you is to find some that you can be honest with to discuss your weakness and you will find as me and my friend have is your weaknesses become less and less. The severity of your weakness becomes less and less the more you begin to deal with them.

It not what you know but who you know
This is a statement we hear time and time again by business people, entrepreneurs etc. Another saying is you "net worth is equated by your network".
Both statement mentioned hold some truth, but I feel that more important than this is the quality of your friendships.
In the bible we see great friendship David and Johnathan, Paul and Timothy, Jesus and Peter to name a few. In business Microsoft would not of grown with just Bill Gates he needed Paul Allen. Apple needed not only Steve Job but also Steve Wozniak to grow. To really be successful in this world you need more than a NETWORK, because you can have a network and still feel lonely, still feel you have no one to turn to.
I recently spoken to two people who are popular have lots of friends on Face book, go to networking events but still they felt they had no one to turn to when the trouble arise. I am all for networking but friendship (solid, pure, open and honest friendships) are more important than any general network.
I been blessed to have some truly GREAT friendship, and it been in time of real struggles that I needed to call on them for support and a ear to listen and realised their worth to my life. (these people have been Thammi, Joseph and Kerry my wife) Also great friends will speak the truth in love in how you need to move forward and not just tell you what you want to hear. In NETWORKS people are trying to impress one another, are they going to be totally honest with you?
If your planning to obtain a purpose driven life, you will face mountains and valleys. Due to this you will need a hand to assist you along the way. Begin building those friendship that are worth more than gold and will help you achieve the life you desire.

If you had 24 hours
Last night I was at my church service and the pastor mentioned how he had a severe heart attack whilst doing 70 on the m40, by God grace he survived. He realised how life is precious and he lives on the edge always pushing to hit new heights. His energy is amazing and would put of a lot of young people to shame.
Question how is a man of 64 has more energy and zest for life than many twenty year old-? My answer I believe is when you have stared death in the face and you get a second chance you don't want to waste it. When your young you feel that you have all the time in the world, but the truth is young or old this could be your last 24 hrs.
If this statement is true that maybe this is my last 24 hrs what do I way to do. Ensure i forgive those that I should of forgiven, say I love you to those I said I say it tomorrow, but my plans into action and dismissed the fears, spend more time with family and friends.
Truth is we all have a list and if this is

Question how is a man of 64 has more energy and zest for life than many twenty year old-? My answer I believe is when you have stared death in the face and you get a second chance you don't want to waste it. When your young you feel that you have all the time in the world, but the truth is young or old this could be your last 24 hrs.
If this statement is true that maybe this is my last 24 hrs what do I way to do. Ensure i forgive those that I should of forgiven, say I love you to those I said I say it tomorrow, but my plans into action and dismissed the fears, spend more time with family and friends.

Environment
I've currently been working for a company that does not pay the highest salary. It does not have the corporate perks etc, BUT!!! it has something far more valuable that any of the for mentioned things.
What it does have is the chance to learn and to grow. I remember reading a book ( I had read many of the books) from Robert Kiyosaki entitled Rich Dad, Poor Dad. I highly recommend reading this book. (Check out the link for further information http://www.richdad.com/) In the book it stated never take up employment where you will not learn and grow. Never take a role based on the salary and perks otherwise you will end up broke. Many people take on a job solely for the money, especially in these times of financial hardship.
When reading the book I understood what he was saying but it not until you but the principle into action that you have fully appreciate why he said what he said.
I just spent 3-4 hours with the owner from the states (He is a lecturer, college professor and self made millionaire). The time I have spent with him learning what it takes to build a business, grow a business is invaluable. The lesson that I am learning in my role will help me build my business or career that will reap a reward far greater than the tens of thousands you can earn now.
There is a saying in the bible "do not be unevenly yoked". This means if you want to reach for the stars don't hang around people that are happy in the gutter. You may think that you are strong enough to raise above the environment and some can, but it far easier to put yourself in a environment that is already producing the life you desire. By being in the environment long enough you will find you become like those around you.
So by being around the owner I may never become a millionaire but I will never become someone who doesn't believe that great things can happen if you apply yourself.
So look at your life and think does my environment reflect my vision for my life. If not why not? Change your surrounding before it to late and you become the environment you do not want.
I should state I recently change church for this very reason. I needed to personally grow they where great people but I had a dream and realised I had to change my environment to reach my potential in Christ.

How to handle loss
I personal don't believe there is a magical way for a person to handle loss. Over the years I seen people handle it in different ways and all have found comfort in the end.
Some one I know family member is dieing of cancer, and because they not saved in Christ I found no words that could really encourage but to say my prays go with the family.
God doesn't want us to suffer great grief when a love one passes away but have great joy that the person has passed on to heaven. It funny that when a love one dies we all want them to go to heaven but when they are living we don't want them to practice the way that leads to eternal life. Strange but true.
My heart goes out to those that face a love one that is passing away and pray many will reflect on this life and realise we will all pass away at some point and let it not be to late to understand that their is a eternal life! The question is where do you want to spend it.

When you feel the world is against you
I had a fairly normal day until the later part and I had that feeling of feeling sorry for my self. I was reviewing people who had let me down and then you begin wishing you had a different up bring and a different life. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH
The truth is no has a perfect life NO ONE. It what you do with that life is what counts. I was at a property meeting and Gill Fielding was the main speaker what a amazing person she is. ( I would advise to read her books or watch secret millionaire) But being around her for 1 hour is the slap in the face I needed to say get on with it denz. You will achieve your goals and purpose just keep dusting your self down and taking one step at a time and listening to inspiring people who have achieved success in the areas you want to succeed.

Pushing Through
Even with the greatest passion and drive we all have days when we just want to stay in bed.
I realise more and morethat for me to succeed in the vision I need to push through on the days when you want to quit.
Being human we are made up of emotions which means we will have up and down days the difference between those that succeed or fail is how we handle those bad days. For me I got to keep a eye on the goal and push our mind with positive news / information and motivation.
This why it is important that we surround ourselves with positive people and environment otherwise we will quickly get drawn into negative waters.

In the flickering of a eye
Recently so many people are sick including my father who has a collapsed lung. What this has highlighted is none of us know when are time is up or when our health will fall us.
Can any of us guarantee that tomorrow we will be alive or healthy. NO is the answer. With this in mid we should begin to appreciate the day that we have been given and treasure the opportunities that come our way.
But learn that we can only control the here and now and if we take care of today tomorrow will take care of its self. The bible verse state "do not worry about tomorrow as today has enough concerns of it own"

Good vs Evil
From the beginning of time we have had good vs evil. The problem today is
More and more better are choosing evil. Question why.
Easy money, crime pays, girls want a bad boy, biggest celebrates are no conformist taking drugs etc.
But the evil is this world never has brought joy. Drugs lead to death, crime leads to prison. Being a bad boy leads to paranoia. But evil will be the
Mass choice because it easy the easy road.
To remain true and righteous takes courage, boldness and faith. You have to against the grain and walk on the narrow path which can be a lonely place.
If you seek great success long term you must be happy walking on the narrow road.

My people die because of a lack of vision
Vision is so important. I spoke to a good friend today and he was lost, and it was so apparent not just in his conversation but in his tone and conduct.
I meet so many people like this that have no excitement about life even though they are young and live in a country of opportunity. Why is this? A lack of vision.
People with no vision perish and quickly. We must have a purpose it is the very thing that drives us. Have you ever wondered why some people can survive on 5 hours sleep and the next person needs 10, I personally believe it is vision. With no vision for the day there is no reason to awaken and chance the day.
I recently moved church and they have a vision and you can tell a church business, marriage, family that has no vision. My church has such a big vision that it causes me to get a vision even if a I didn't want one. If you are struggle to get a vision find a environment or people that are visionary and you will soon pick it up
I heard a great saying you can only achieve what the mind can conceive. Joyce Meyer

Difficult decision
Sometimes we have to make difficult decision in life that can change the course of life not only for me but also fit those around you.
When making decision it is important you make the right decision no matter how hard they are. Because the right decision will always have the right outcome. But that outcome might not always happen straight away.
Also when making decision we must also ensure we stick to our convictions and not be swayed by our emotions. I am learning doing the right can hurt ALOT, also doing the right thing can cause you to be unpopular but make the right decision anyway.
Recently I had to make a decision that really cut close to the heart. A decision that literally split families. But it was the right decision for all parties
To achieve any success in life requires tough decision that why not many people are successful.

Learning to enjoy
What a day, it was 25 degrees in the last week of September. Sunshine, sunshine. I stuck on the motorway all day from Birmingham to Oldham to Leeds and then back to Birmingham. But you know I loved every minute of it. Why I was just grateful and content.
I could easily moan that I like a company car new Audi, BMW etc but I don't I drive my reliable Nissan Almera. I could moan that I could be earning more, but I don't as I am happy that I have a role and company I enjoy. I could moan that about alot of things but I realise that you are only as lucky as you feel. Remember you are only as lucky as you feel.
One of the reason why I love my role is because I get to drive and in that time I can call and encourage people. I have a phone that has unlimited calls which means I can talk and talk and talk which I do. But I realise that alot of people don't get call of encouragement so it is a blessing to be a blessing.
Also I been trying to contact my friend who I will call N. for weeks I have tried to call him with no success. I tried him again today and it went straight to vm. Later in the day I was having my dinner when my wife shout N is walking past the house. I jumped out and called out N come here> (I should state N has learning difficults and not the cleanest person, but he is such a blessing onto me) I know it was God who allowed him to walk past my house as I had prayed he was OK. Why does N bring so much joy because when I serve him (ie play the WII with him etc) it bring him joy which brings me joy.
Remember happiness is not a distant dream but a decision to either appreciate your life now or wait for that magical day when nothing go wrong and every thing is perfect. You will be waiting a long time so why wait, become joyful and content today.

Only today in the gym I watched a video for Beyonce (please keep in mind this is a lady that knows that she has a audience/ following that range 7+) in the video she wearing see through underwear. she made a self a sexual object, even though she has more than enough talent she and the industry still feel the need to to sell sex to increase rating.
The truth is is does, but she and the record labels know that sex sells even if it destroys the fabric of this nation. Sexual lust not dealt with grows and escalates to pornography and this leads to broken homes, relationships, abuse, drugs and even child abuse.
Am i being to harsh? A roaring fire that destroy acres of land began with a single spark. A music video selling lust has the same effect.

Mission
Those called into Christ have one task, to spread God love. This is a easier task than just bringing people to church. What it really means is to seek the best for people before your own success. It not church that convincing people God is real but how we treat them, care for them, encourage them, assist them on their journey. Simply taking people to church is the easy option as it becomes the responsibility of the pastor but the responsibility is my. Reality Check
Life seems great when you get that promotion, purchase the new car, obtained the new season labels. But what happens you open your eyes.
To day the reality check is a close friend grandfather has blood on the brain, another close person to me grandmother has cancer of the brain.
And that is just the begining in reality I could disclose some much about what is going on around me. So even though I am a positive person I am also a realist. I know what is going on I don't ignore it but know it just a part of life and you must continue to move forward and for me HOPE in that better day that God speaks of where there will be no more pain.
I truly believe that this life is to come s the pains that I face know I can handle in JESUS name.

First Day
Church is on a three day fast, and this is the first of the three days. I feel great at the moment, what the reason I not depending on me but depending on God power to survive. It is incredible to think what we can achieve three days without food and still be productive.
We have such a power in us as humans but it is rarely seen as we live at such a low expectation of what is possible. The great thing about Christainity is nothing is impossible and the expectation for life is beyond our wildest imagination. I look around at friends I know over the years and there life has no purpose and no vision or direction. But still that seems like better by most. We must learn to OPEN our eyes to what is possible and achieveable and set our selves free from LACK and Survival.
We are more than Conquerers , MORE THAN

Start the day correctly
I knew I should of got up to read the word. But no I decided that 30 mins was more benefical than reading the word. Big mistake, that was the begining of the down hill episodes.
How can one act miss up the whole day , you see every action has a reaction. Ripple effect almost. If you do some thing positive it will ripple positive ripples, same with negative and so on.
My bad day ended with being half a hour late for my meeting and then realising that I had forgotten my shoes. I decided to go into the meeting with the trainers and we got the business. that postive move lead into meeting with some one I don't in my flesh like but decided to do the right thing and visit the person. Went well so know I am going to bed with positive ripples and determined to wake up making the right decisions

Simply Things
Spent the weekend in Mid Wales camping with the family. What a great time was had by every one even though it was raining and cold.
The kids where sleeping in a tent living with the usually English weather and they never moaned once. Well maybe once!. Thegreat thing we were able to survive the weekend no television and still entertained ourselves incredible. How (Fellowship and Creativity) unfortunately we live in such and nanny state that these two things are no longer seen. A majority would not dear spend time talking to thier neighbours or thinking of a alternative to sitting in front of SKY (mans best friend).
We need to understand that we can live show enriched lives if we where to implement just these two things Fellowship and Creativity.
Try aand you will see for your self.

Cannot be done on our own
Today was a day of fasting but I did it on my own strength and I failed miserable.
I sin worse than when I was not fasting. How does that work. Fasting is meant to bring me closer to God not further a way. RIGHT??
The the incredibel thing is in the midst of my weaknesses I did draw closer to God. Why you may ask because it made me realise I can do nothing with out him, not even stay sinless with effort. That is why Jesus had to die me, becuase I realise it was the only way and is the only way to be saved. Even in my best moments I fail but in him (Jesus) I win.
Also i am grateful that he has allowed to me be forgiven. After I slipped up the devil wanted me to quit my fast, but God said carry on. It not how many times you falls but the fact you get back up. I dusted my self down and was able to carry on until after evening service.
Lesson of the day don't give up, as God has not given up on us.

Also i am grateful that he has allowed to me be forgiven. After I slipped up the devil wanted me to quit my fast, but God said carry on. It not how many times you falls but the fact you get back up. I dusted my self down and was able to carry on until after evening service.
Lesson of the day don't give up, as God has not given up on us.

evening gratitude
From now on I will be writing a evening blog whihc is my way of showing gratitude for the things that happen in my day.
Firstly I just be speaking to a young lady on 15 years old who hurting at the moment. She has some one very close who sick with cancer and she had a tough day at school where she sort help and was laughed at by her peers. She also made a promise to do well in her GCSE to the person who is sick but in her minds knows that she will not achieve the grades she desires.
For me this is a major injustice in this world that the gauge of success is always based on the world standard. This poor girl will feel like a failure if she does not get the 5 GCSE that she desires when in truth education system is designed for the academic and the creative driven individual.
The truth is success is achieving what you want to achieve in life and not what the world deems to be bar of success. God created all of us to be successful and we all have that ability to shine in our own little fields of success.
Also the second point is this young lady as mentioned advised that when she bravely ask for help in school not only do her peers laugh at her but also her teachers which will make her feel fro one of a better phrase dumb. But the reality the most successful people in life are those that ask for help. "Humble your self and you will be exalted". How many times I have sat in a conference and not understood something but been to afraid to say "I don't understand". So my pride was my down fall.
But I am GRATEFUL that God has and is takening me down a journey of humilty to understand life is about learning and remaining humble those are the keys to success.

Purpose
What can be more frustrating than not living in your purpose. Every day we see people that are not happy with their situation. Not happy in their relationship status, career, education general life.
I feel the main reason is because people tend not to live in their purpose. But what is man purpose, is it to have the best paid job of even the best car and home. Unfortunately many people purpose is defined by these things and in reality how many achieve the great feats of material success that is bombared on us every day.
The truth is we have a bigger purpose which is defined in a relationship with our creator, who states he who the plans for us even before we where born. Since I become a Christian I realise more and more my task is to spread Gods word and show people how to live life to the ful, which only comes in Christ. As we need to know that Love , Joy, Peace etc are all found in Christ and no where else. Spreading this new and transforming lives there is no better purpose.

Obidence
Be a Christian is no walk in the park. Paul states that I serve in great humilty and tears from the book of Acts
To serve God takes great humility to deny what we are feeling and do the right thing. Never a easy senario but the BEST. We must learn to deny our emotions and follow the truth as it is the truth that sets us free from all plan of destruction and brings us into the prosperity we desire.

Mind Feed
You can only become what you hear, leanrn and think. Have you ever watched a movie and straight after you wanted to become the character.
For example I can watch Brave Heart and I will become instantly brave and believe I can fight the forces of evil and rally the community to FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM. Karate Kid was a other film that made me want to become a fighter.
We become our environments, and we become what we see and think. When I say you become waht you see you would be surprised that two people can look at the same picture and see two very different things. If you see lack then you will live a life of lack. If you see opportunity then opportunities will come your way. If you surround yourself with negativity then sooner or later you will become negative.
One way of building great environment for success is reading. Reading can change your climate and environment without travelling anywhere physically. "The the mind goes the body follows". I try to read as many books as possible and I set some time daily to read. This allows my mind to remain fresh and renewed. Ready to embrace a live of plenty

Reality Check
The world we live in, it is easy to moan about all the things that we don't have. You may drive a ford focus but inside you moan that it is not a BMW. You live in a nice house but inside you moan that it is not a 4 Bed in solihull.
You have a beautiful wife but you moan that she not perfect like the women on the TV. We live in a world that does not allow us to be satisfied but always on the want for more or better.
I had one of those days I was maoning that I was getting paid to travel down to London for a meeting, at the same time one of my love one was told that a close person to them had contracted Cancr and had no more than six months to live. UMMMMMM. Question would I be moaning if I had six months to live that I had to travel to London or rejoicing in the fact that I had the opportunity to drive and full of health, married, great kids, a awesome church and amazing friends.
Ensure you give you self a reality check today. IT could be so much worse that you could ever imagine. Be grateful for waht you have but do not lose your ambition to grow.

Integrity
for a while Ihad struggled why I was not as successful as I believed I should be. I thought I worked harder than most was talented etc etc.
Then God revealed the truth to me that my level of integrity was not to be admired.
I was the person that would spend 15mins here and 15 mins there on sky sports etc when I should have been working. I would not start at 9 but fully switch on from 930, even though I was paid from 9.
Truly succesful people will work hard, be diligent even when no one is around that is what makes them successful.
I realise what I have to do, DO YOU ?????

Being Open
Speaking with my best friend today Thammi, he shown me how important just being open about your feeling are. Sometimes we don't need advice, shoulder to cry, moral support but just a ear that will listen.
It funny my best was sharing with me in the week and I automatically wanted to give him a answer to his sharing. But he was not looking for a answer just a ear. I was struggle with this as I am very solution oriented. It was only when I wanted to share that I saw the importance of just sharing and releasing the thoughts that might be plaguing your mind.
This brings about the importance of friendship, even as a male with have emotions that we must learn to share and feel ok to share. We are human with emotions and not some kind of robot. But i see very little is men who have friendship where they can share and be really open.
The lesson is it is good to share but also it good to listen and not speak unless some one has asked for your advice. Maybe they just want your eye

Believing ther Truth
I am grateful to my faith in God, as without it my mind woul dhave exploded.
It is so easy to live a life of condemnation, we get so many thing wrong in any given day. Continually reviewing what we have done wrong and wondering what if.
Today especially was a tough day. Major decision take place and you wonder could I have done more and you want to beat your self up. One comment can destroy your whole day as I find we listen more intently to the negative press in our own minds than we do to the warrior inside all of us that tells us it will be ok and tomorrow is a new dawn just ensure you learn today lessons and GROW.
Because of my faith I was able to eventually to dispel the negative thoughts by confession the scriptures over my life. "All things work out for good for those that love the lord" , "the lord knows what is best for you and how to direct your life". If I truly trusted in my own efforts I would be worried, but I have the greatest MENTOR who is guding my footsteps to success.
Thought for the day, ensure you have a higher belief system than your own. Key to true sucess

Humbility Key to Success
It not until you serve others that you appreciate how lucky you are. It not until you see some one who life seems worst than yours that you realise how lucky you are.
I had the privledge today of spending time with a young guy 18 years old who has a learning difficulty. By world standards he doesn't wear the latest clothes, at times he clothes are dirty. He holds no trinkets of success but this guy is rich. The reason being he has not be polluted by the world and he is who is is with no fake masks and pretences.
Being around him makes me realise what really being successful, learning to be me. He doesn't care the car I drive or the watch I own or the home that I live in. He just wants to spend time having fun. In our case playing the Wii.
Also making the effort to hang out with him is a treasure for me. It makes his day to know someone is interested in him. If only he knew that the time I spend with him or more valuable to me than potential for him.
